I've seen a few tidbits here and there from people that have the phone already. I'm picking mine up at 10 am and would appreciate any help to get my phone through the day. Are there any things that can/should be turned off that can be battery hogs? Any worthless settings to switch off or change? Thanks!

I am getting an average of 6 to 7 hrs screen on time plus if using only video a projected 9 to 10 hrs SOT.. thats amazing.
I can easily go about 2-3 days on this phone.
* Turn off all unwanted stuff including pre-installed once using apps manager
* Turn off notification for all apps except stuff that I deem I need
* black background, dark material theme
* In developer options, turn off all animations
* location off
* No google now .. i really dont use it much
* Manual brightness control
* Turn off sync.
* No always on display. I have colored notifications and thats more than enough. I do use edge feed when screen is off though

Thank you for this!

I did most of the things on this list. I was unable to find the animations in the developer options although I did get into the developer options.
If anybody knows any more things to try please post them here!

you have to scroll down a bit, further down than I remember on previous phones.

How do you get emails with sync off? How much do you drain overnight?
You could always retrieve them manually. Although of course this is dependent on how often you receive important emails. If it's not too often for you and not too critical, then you can get away with this. Or even set it to sync every 4 or 12hrs.

Where is the options for changing to manual email or syncing less often?
