tired of having to re-boot/re-install wipe :(

I have an LG optimus S, through Sprint and lately every 4-5 days I go to turn on my phone and it locks up, I end up having to reboot, nothing it gets stuck on the basic screen, cannot swipe it to open the phone and shuts down.

I do the whole home button, volume, power button and have to clean the phone and re-start.

I have the g-bread installed on it....can you guys offer some help?

It takes me an hour or so to put everything back on my phone and get it where I want it.

It is not rooted, have been looking at that though.

Any help would be great

If you have ginger bread, VH baseband on your phone, you can try to downgrade it to froyo 2.2.
