Does anyone know if backed up apps and data can be used by predators trying to steal personal data? I back up weekly and would like to upload my backup file (zipped) to a storage server. I need to know if my security can be compromised. Thanks.

im sure anything is possible but in this case i would think it isn't likely. it takes apps and the app data and saves them but it isn't really accessible unless you restore it. do i think people could steal it the files if the server gets hacked into, possibly. do i think that somebody would realize it is a file only accessible to android phones, probably not. i would recommend emailing the dev. he is pretty good when it comes to answering questions about his app.

Unless it's encrypted, it's pretty accessible to anyone who knows what they're looking for. Just copy the file(s) to a PC and snoop through it with a file editor, and who knows what you might find.
