Just wanted to pass along that after rooting via the unrevoked method titanium backup works fine. Titanium backup allows you to backup your entire phone, apps along with app settings which allows for a simple restore if you wipe your phone, install a new rom etc. This is my first android device but this seems like a must have app if you are rooted. I paid for the fulll version as that allows you to reinstall all of your apps at once instead of one by one.

You can confirm this but I don't believe titanium restores apps to your market. If you use titanium to restore apps, they won't be under your download section in the market so you won't get updates when the devs release them. Please confirm and if true you may want to edit your first post and add that so nobody gets confused (or maybe I'm just confused)

Edit - I should clarify, if you use the same gmail name the paid apps will show back up in your market under downloads but the free ones won't. If you don't use the same name none of them will show up and you're stuck buying them again if you want to get the updates.

I downloaded this app as well I think it's great. I really like that it installs busybox which is required by some apps..

I have it too... Works Great...

Along is Auto memory manager, Wireless Tether, and Terminal just because.

Actually, i have paid for the full version (best money i have spent on an app.. PERIOD) and at least in that version, there is something called the "Market Doctor" that fixes market links after a restore.

I dont have my evo til tomorrow, but i can tell you that this works PERFECTLY on my MyTouch 3G!!

I would recommend EVERYONE that is installing custom roms to get this... like i said.. Its the BEST money i have spent on an app.. AND the developer is REALLY FAST responding to emails!!

Gotcha. I must be thinking of the olden days or the free app. I've never been into using these because the only thing i want back are my contacts which come from google. The rest of the stuff i want to tinker and play and get my hands dirty :D

I'm having issues. I'm rooted and did the Busy Box upgrade, but when I run the App I only get the "Overview" tab. It says
Root Access=>OK (BusyBox 1.15.3 from app)
HyperShell=> NO (Donate Version Only)
Fast/Auto app install => No (HyperShell Needed)
SQLite => YES (SQLite 3.5.9 included)

Data Directory:/data
External storage:not mounted
Backup Directory: /sdcard/TitaniumBackup

and that's it. Any suggestions? I have USB debugging selected too.

Thanks!

I used the Titanium with UnEVOked and back up my system, then I used it to restore stuff once I was on the custom RvU 1.3.1 Rom. It worked like a champ once I figured out how to use it.

noob question, i backed up all my app,s have a lot took a while, now if i wipe it clean how do i reinstall them with Titanium?

ANd where does Titanium back them up on the SD card?
