TMO lollipop 5.1 rolling out now

Anyone else think Tmobile is rushing these things out way to fast? First the phone which had issues now 5.1.1 which has issues. They should spend more time testing these things instead of trying to be first out with everything.

Even though the wait is unbearable, I am glad AT&T is taking their time.

The issue isn't with Samsung, the Galaxy S6 itself is a awesome phone. The problem is with Google's Lollipop software, doesn't matter what version of it your on, or the type of phone you have, or who made it. Lollipop may look great, but it runs like a POS. Many android users on Lollipop have experienced all kinds of issues. The link below is the 2nd biggest thread on the Google Android forum. Just read through it and I'm sure you will find the same issue you have already complained about. I've posted several already....

No, part of the problem is Samsung. The M9 does not have the memory management issues this phone has despite running Lollipop. This has already been proven.

Your absolutely right my friend! Don't know if Tmobile or Google holds the most to blame, but they sure are acting like a first year run company...

After 24 hours with the NEW 5.1.1 update here is my 2 cents.

You now can remove the quick connect and S finder buttons from the pull down screen. Big deal....
Camera - I don't see any changes or notice anything different. Will have to wait and see if the same 5.1.1 update is applied to other carriers.

Battery Life still hasn't been fixed!!! With a full charge in sleep mode my battery dropped 4% in a 8hr time frame. When phone is in use,ex. browsing the internet, playing a game, taking pics, updating apps, the battery drops at 1% a minute or after say 15mins battery is 84%. and 20 to 30 mins battery drops to 71%.

Memory Leaks are also still an issue and apps still fail to release memory back to the system. Of course all of this has been stated by Google Nexus users after they received the 5.1.1 update at the end of May.

I wish my battery only dropped 4% in eight hours of standby. I'm lucky if it drops any less than 20%...

It sure doesn't make me wanna switch to them to have to eventually accept and download the update and have your phone worse than what it was before.

The only update that you got is from Google with some window dressing of Touchwiz. I'll bet that T-Mobile did almost nothing to the software. Lollipop is trash and needs to be fixed. Everyone is having issues due to lollipop no matter what the phone is being used. How much lollipop is affecting your phone may be different then others, but it is effected.

Anyone having an issue after the update where when your phone comes off WiFi your LTE doesn't work until you reboot? Every morning since the update I have no Internet until I reboot even though I have 4G LTE showing active.

Do you have Smart Network Switch enabled? Try other setting and see what happens. How about WiFi calling?

Do you have this issue when comi g off any wifi network or just a certain network? Try deleting the WiFi connection and recreate a new one.

I am not experiencing same, although I did have this very same issue on my LG G2 after the 5.0.2 update was released for that phone.

I am coming off my home WiFi first thing in the morning when I leave for work. I've disabled WiFi calling because thankfully I like in a great service area. I will look for the smart switch option.

I read thru the whole thread and it seems that about 60%-70% of the issues accrue when you only get a 3G or less connection, and fewer complaints when receiving a LTE connection. What really stands out is that whatever the issue is it can also be found in the custom ROMs built off Lollipop 5.0.2, 5.1 and 5.1.1

T-Mobile actually does the least amount of carrier change to the Samsung software version released. Which is why they are quicker to release updates than ATT or Verizon.

Not sure what you're trying to say. Seems like you are agreeing with me in that T-Mobile didn't rush anything about this update. I also agree with you in that T-Mobile does the least amount of customization of the UI, so they normally don't change much, if anything at all other then what is required by law when it comes to copyright.

T-Mobile does add software to all their phones on top of the manufacture's, such as wifi calling and VoLTE. In this case, Samsung has to add it in or T-Mobile won't accept the software.

They all have bloat to add -- either by apps or services. VoLTE is added for T-Mobile / AT&T / and Verizon. Sprint is the only one without VoLTE at the moment.

Oh you guys do? I didn't know that (really.. I didn't) -- So thank you for teaching me :D.

Side Note - I do wonder when Sprint will get VoLTE. Have you heard any rumors around the intarwebs?

The above link stays that it could be as early as mid 2015, but I say 2075 the earliest. /s

If I find more info I'll pm you.

Edit: stupid link doesn't work, I'll try to fix it later.

Edit: maybe this link will work?
