Tmobile has the best smartphone plan????

I feel like T-mobile has some hidden data restrictions. Like if I go into the Play store and try to update a app over 30 mb, it will like just refuse to go anywhere. Sometime is goes but very rarely. An example. I went into a area where the coverage was considered excellent. My phone poped up saying there was 8 updates one was a game update for 223 mb. I hit update because I have unlimited data and I'm not going home till late and my speed test showed 5mbps. So when it hit the game update it would always get stuck at 15kb or 17bk until I eventually have to skip that update and the smaller 10 to 20mb updates were like boom done, boom done, but if its a bigger update it just gets stuck or if its like a google keyboard or google something update it crawls. Also I'll notice if I use alot of my mobile hotspot in like a hour (1.5gb), when I finally turn it off my speed test will be like stuck at 200kbps max no matter how many times I reboot or clear all cache. It eventually goes back to full speed after like 10 minutes of waiting

The only issue I have ran into is updating a game. It said the file was 200mb and it would not download.

Just have to be sure to Uncheck the "download via wifi only" box when it tells you its a big app.. Otherwise it waits for Wifi. If you Uncheck that box (see screenshot below) and hit proceed it will download via mobile data.

But if it says update all and it is listed and starts shouldn't it be downloading the update over data because you chose to at that moment. The picture you gave was chosing to download a game. Not updated a large file

When updating a large file and you hit update all it automatically chooses to wait for Wifi... You can usually tell because it will say waiting for network... What it really means is waiting for Wifi.

For big app updates you have to manually go into the app, hit update, and Uncheck that box on the Popup for it download our mobile data.

Its stupid I can't change this in settings

Idk I just have a weird love hate for t mobile. Apparently they say they have less congestion than att but at the same time im limited to 2 to 5 mbps until about 2 am and the it jumps up and can hit all the way up to 6 to 13 mbps. My phone is always trying to roam over at&t for stronger cellular service but I care about data more. Because im not on the credit check post paid I can't text contest because t mobile blocks it to prevent fees even know I argue with them that there is no fee for it because my sister and my brother does the same contest no charge and it says t mobile is a supported carrier on the box (taco bell contests). My ping time are always 250 + even in the best t mobile spot in town. But there plans are really good. I only stick with them because of their good press in the news about being different and their fair plans but seems like they dont monitor their towers well here.

Tyler just sounds like T-Mobile isn't the best for you in your area... Either that or the prepaid is just that bad.

If you know the postpaid is better is honestly just switch and save yourself the headache. I get consistently good speeds on HSPA and LTE.. No matter the time.. Early, afternoon, or night.

Below are various times where I did tests. The very last HSPA one I just took right now at my desk.

Well I thought id be less congested because the t mobile store closed here and its been mostly pre paid. Everything is 4g though. the t mobile closed because it was spotty in some areas. To me that was a good thing because im competing alot less for bandwidth because everyone on prepaid is hitting their data cap. You'd think they would give post paid customers priority over pre paid. Im mainly just waiting because one I bought this phone already and t mobile is talking about buying 700mhz A block from Verizon which is here.

i can't say its a postpaid vs prepaid thing. I have prepaid plan ($60, will be changing to $70 in two weeks), it picks up LTE well, and have good speed, 15-25mbps.

and yeah, 700mhz would be interesting!

I get up to 40 down. As for waiting for tmobile buying version spectrum you need a device that will pick that up. Even so that will be a few years before it is implemented at 100%. If tmobile isn't working for you then I would switch. I get about what the poster above at around 25mbps in the Seattle. The highest is around 40

T-Mobile has the best plan and I've been involved in all 4 AT&T and Verizon are ridiculous as far as data and price oh yea and the two year contract crap. This Jump program seems promising for me as I like to stay on top with the newest mobile devices.

We on the same page. .The insurance is $8, to add Jump is just another $2.. IMO, a no-brainer.. Also, the Note 3 has spoiled me..:).. If they come with a Note 4, or an S5 that tops this, I am on it.. :D

Plus, I have not been in a spot where coverage is lacking. Plus, I love the free hotspot, and 2.5gb of hotspot data.. Sheesh, other carriers are charging just to activate the hotspot..

I'm assuming that the $70/mo plan gives you unlimited Internet access? I'm getting the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 smartphone either tomorrow or Friday, and still trying to decide which carrier ... T-Mobile is looking like the best option if the cost is only $70/mo for unlimited Calling and unlimited Internet ...

Yes. $50 for unlimited text and calling. 500 MB of 4G data. $50 gets you 2.5GB and $70 is unlimited.
But unless you buy the phone outright, you have to make monthly payments on the phone (Usually over $20)

The Note 3 I believe is an extra $30 depending on how much you put down. Tack on an extra $10 for the jump program which is only a good deal if u put zero down

Yes, on the phone, for the $50+$20, it is unlimited data, calls, I think messages too. Also, and this was a biggee for me, the hotspot is active free of charge, and you got 2.5gb of free data for the hotspot. Also, you can plug up 5 devices.. A lot has been said about coverage, but for me I haven't had any problems with coverage. Sprint wanted $20 to turn on the hotspot.
