i bought the g1 right when it came out. loved it. it's only flaw was battery time.

at this point my g1 is almost dead. the battery is dead. i want a new, stronger, cooler phone.

but tmobile hasn't put out any awesome androids since.

what do i spend my full upgrade on? should i switch to the hd2? but my life is gmail and gchat. but the hd2 is so cool and powerful...

so confused!

do i wait for the mytouch slide and then spend my upgrade on that... will it just be like a faster slightly more sleek g1?

depressed:confused:

come on... the nexus one is a joke. huge failure on google's part.

Although I agree the N1 has many faults (both hardware and marketing), it isn't that bad!

Come over to Verizon and play with the big kid phones!

Depends on what you expect in ur future phone

Currently, T-Mobile has 5 android phones (Nexus One, G1, Mytouch, Samsung Behold II and the Motorola Cliq) and two more arriving soon (mytouch slide and the Garminefone

If you want to stay with T-Mobile and the android devices, i would say wait until the mytouch slide comes out...

If the google apps aren't necessary to you, the HD2 is a decent phone (granted it is a windows mobile phone:rolleyes:)

i've been on tmobile since before it was called tmobile... for 15 years now. feel weird switching. plus it has the best rates. the slide is so mid level. maybe i should buy the hd2 and wait for someone to android hack it

Sprint has some very reasonable voice/data plans, and the HTC Evo is about to drop. I strongly suspect your monthly bill would go down if you shifted from T-Mobile to Sprint.

Of course, you want to check local coverage before jumping. Sprint roams on Verizon, and between the two, you'll have great voice coverage. Check 3g/4g availability though. Sprint does have a data roaming agreement with Verizon, but it's only 1xRTT, so you want a good data signal in places important to you that don't have WiFi.

Huh? How did you come to that conclusion? Apart from the Droid incredible, its widely regarded as the best android device available. And as far as "Google experience devices" (straight up android, no ui overhauls) go, its the best.

The only reason it didn't sell well is because Google sold it directly through Google.com, and didn't spend 50 mil on a TV ad campaign.

would suggest the Nexus one. even though it looks like you consider it a failure. my friend just gout in the N1 the other day and that is the best phone on the t-mobile service right now. i also have another friend who has the HD2 he loves it, but complains that there is a huge shortage of apps.

Do you really think that the G1 is better than the N1? I'm guessing you haven't tried one. Its still going to be better than the mytouch slide also. And the first device to get 2.2.
