An update to 5.1.1 is now available. Rather large update at 635MB. Just downloaded and checking out now.....

That's good news!

I hope, Verizon doesn't take their sweet time pushing out their update.

I know it's early, but do you notice any difference in performance? I'm curious to know, if the battery performance is better with this update.

Sent from the GOLDEN EDGE of the Galaxy S6 Edge!

Let us know if they added RAW support. I read that could be a possibility.

I can confirm there is no RAW support on this update. As far as performance goes, the phone is a lot smoother and snappier. Looks like a lot of the memory leak is gone.(thank god!) I did not do a factory reset as of yet,and if the phone stays this way I may not need to.

Does this update fix the auto-brightness bug/glitch/issue? If you have your phone on full brightness, auto off. then take off Adaptive display. Set your phone done, put a cloth on top sensors and watch your phone dim.. let me know if your phone had that prior to the update and if this update fixed it! Thanks!

Well it seems that RAW support was indeed added, I just decided to try Camera FV-5, again, and for my surprise when it loaded the first time this was what it showed:

So, I was curious and looking on XDA I found in one of the threads one of the users that seems to have the pro version and he posted about it on this link.

So it seems that we have RAW support after all, not in the Default Camera app but it seems that at least is there. I can't verify this myself as I'm not paying for the full version just for this, but if there is somebody else with the Pro version or other camera pp that supports this, please try it.

That's great that they did add it ,but, you would think they would have added it to the stock camera app. If they added the support you shouldn't have to use another app to use it. Just my .02.....

I'm not sure. I never really had that issue and if I don't I've never noticed it. Hopefully someone has checked this out and can elaborate more on it.

Yeah I know it surely doesn't make any sense, only thing that could make sense is that after incorporating RAW support the default camera app was failing somehow and they just decided to release the update without it for now, that way you may try to fix other pending issues that deserved priority.

They can simply update the Camera app in a later small update, that way they are still been recognized as the only company and device with 5.1.1 other than the usual Nexus devices, plus then adding new missing features later like Guest mode and Full RAW support. I just hope it doesn't take months for that.

Anyone else having cell standby issues with the update? Since turning off voice over LTE, wifi calling and smart network switch months ago, Cell Standby wasn't even showing up in my battery usage. Now it's back at a lovely 22percent.

Check that your Wifi calling shows as disabled from the menu screen, it seems that even when it was turned off and if you enter to its settings it shows off, you need to turn it on and turn it off again for it to really be disabled (turned off).

Downloading as I type. It seems the Apps numbered in the 240s take a long time to upgrade. Which Apps are those? No idea. I am excited none the less.

My update seems to have gone very smoothly. Aside from the phone being a little warm, I was immediately able to turn off both S Finder and Quick Connect. The home screens look exactly the same as before. This was the same experience I had upgrading my GS5 to Lollipop. I am simply verifying the expectation.

I can also verify that there is no RAW mode on the stock camera app, further, that mode is not available for download either.

In all, the small issues like not being able to carousel around the home screens does not rise to the level of annoyance as I have three home screens. Did I mention that I am bat-sh!t crazy over my GS6e?

Phone upgraded last night and notifications keep chiming till opened.
