to install battery saver or not??

Hi
I have 2 conflicting answers on one hand some friends swear by apps like clean master and battery doctor, however done my own research and to me it seems a waste of time and in fact these 2 apps can actually drain battery my opinion is modern phones do all that anyway I have a Samsung J5 and battery is great..would however be really interested on what you guys think ...I did used to find these apps really helpful 10 or so years ago but now????

In my own experience, those types of apps did more harm then good.

I second this... Do not use them, if you must use some kind of battery saving app use greenify
