I don't really have a question I just want to talk about my dilemma. Lol So I have this little S8 Plus, but I really want my note back. When I hot this phone the Samsung rep lied and told me no new note was coming out. A few weeks after I pre-ordered the s8 they announced the note. It took me six hours at Best Buy to pre-order this phone, so I couldn't image how long it would have taken to cancel the order and then order the note. Don't get me wrong, the s8 is a nice phone, but it's not my note. I'm feeling this itch really bad to just go ahead and get the note 8 and then when the 9 comes out I can just trade I my s8 from my other line. I know I'm wasting money, but I'll have two notes and just mayve l be happy. Decisions, decisions. I have a really bad phone addiction and I'm impatient. Lol
If you can get both then get them!
I knw exactly wat u meant by saying 'its not my note' as my 1st note (note 7) was recalled back due to the explosion. N I had to get the s7 galaxy as the replacement phone. But it's not a note.. I can get the note 8 but my dilemma is I'm not sure if i shd wait a few more months for the note 9 to come out..
I went through the same pain. My 1st Note was the Note4, absolutely loved it, then when the Note7 arrived I was preparing to upgrade to it, did the whole preorder rigmarole, suddenly there are delays on my network for it and it's exploding, long story short, they discontinued it before I could even take delivery of mine

so of course I went for the next best thing, the S7 Edge, how bad could it be I said
The S7 Edge was a great device to be fair, but as you say, it just wasn't my Note, I often ping-ponged between it and the Note 4, where the S7 Edge was great was Battery Life, it crapped on the Note 4 in that area.
Late last year when they announced the Note8 I didn't care what it took, I was going to get one and I did a few days after launch in the Midnight Black colour, similar to what I wanted my Note7 (Black Onyx).
To this day I do not regret making the jump, the Note8 has been such a workhorse, and that SPen comes in handy on a daily basis, as I often grab content from images and videos be it from business cards, Pdf docs etc etc... it's the ultimate productivity tool, loving it
