To Root, or Not To Root.... That is the Question

I normally like to root my devices just to get rid of the bloatware. But I already got rid of a lot of AT&T's bloatware by simply disabling them from the Apps menu. Another good reason to root is to use apps like Titanium Backup. But Helium looks like a pretty good alternative without rooting.

Besides flashing new ROM's, is there any other reason to root the HTC One?

I am sketchy on rooting a device without an sd card. Like yourself I usually root to tether and remove bloatware. roms and OC kernel are just a plus. The Tmo HTC one is fairly light on bloat and sense 5 is fast and minimal and built in tethering. I don't have any reason to root atm. I will likely pick up the S4 google edition to play with roms though.
