We discovered today that my wife's phone wouldn't receive calls, so after troubleshooting myself, I called Verizon. To make a long story short, they said that Calif users TODAY are having trouble getting their phones to ring if HD Voice is enabled. The rep and I proved that was the case by turning HD voice OFF/ON/OFF on both phones. I can verify that is the case. They are supposed to send me a text when the network glitch is fixed. I have no idea if the problem spread to other states, nor if it's fixed. We will keep HD voice OFF until at least tomorrow and then turn it on and TEST IT!

Thanks...Explains why my phone didn't ring today, but saw a VM waiting for me.

S7 is a far overrated phone in my experience. I reside in an area with moderate cell coverage and never dropped calls on my BB. The S7 not only drops calls, whenever the signal strength is low, I can't even get internet coverage so half my apps won't work. It's actually downright pathetic.

I'll say it again, the S7 might be the most over-rated phone of the year, and it's not just for the reasons mentioned. The speakers and volume suck as well. Not sure how reviewers can honestly give this phone a 9/10 rating.

But downloading apps from the app store is pretty fast....Oh boy.

I didn't experience this in San Diego today.

The problem was corrected (at least for us) by sometime in the late evening of 9/9: I turned HD Voice back on and rebooted both phones; then dialed my wife's phone, which rang normally.
