Toggle to turn lock screen off/on

I'm looking for a widget that can control the security function so while my Mother In Law is on her cruise she can quickly turn the security/lockscreen function on and without going into settings. Anything I have found doesn't seem to work in Lollipop and some haven't been updated since Kitkat. The phone this is for is a Samsung phone but not the galaxy. One of the cheaper Samsung Smartphones. Anyone have any suggestions?

There won't be a widget available that doesn't require root access and system modifications. Does the phone have Smart Lock (look in the Security Settings)? That can disable the lock screen based on nearby devices.... like a bluetooth headset or location. There aren't many options to fuss with your lock screen anymore... since if an app can disable it, a malicious app can as well.

I'm not sure if it has smart lock but I don't think that will help her very much for her trip. While she's driving and when she's home it would help so i'll look into that. I was really hoping for something simple cause she just got a smartphone and isn't used to it yet. I guess she will just have to deal with having to unlock the phone while she's gone or not have a lock at all if she chooses.

Yeah... the problem is that anything to do with the lockscreen and security has been getting locked down, more and more.... so things like easily toggling between having a LS and not has gotten considerably harder. There are a lot of 'are you sure' and 'your phone will not be secure' scarygrams.
