Too many steps to see call log!

How can i get the Call log option in one step. I would also like the entire menu "Phone/Call Log?Contacts/Groups" to be located on the bottom of the screen instead of the top.

Any way to accomplish this task? Its very annoying having to click "phone" then "call log".
