Too much battery drain on idle mode

[Android Central Question]

I have done all I could
Turned on adaptive power saving mode, turned off adaptive brightness, turned off always on display and turned off lift to wake up

My device idle battery drain for 1 day 12 hours is 16% and my on screen took 18% for 5 hours

I can almost make out no difference in battery when I am actually using the phone and when I am not both drains the battery equally

Please help I spent soo much on this phone

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? A drop of 16% over 36 hours of idle sounds pretty darned good to me!

I'm still not quite sure what your issue is. The battery dropping 16% while idle for 36 hours is not the same rate of drain as the battery dropping 18% for 5 hours of screen on time (which is also phenomenal, if true).

Whether you're using the phone or not, it's still communicating with the tower periodically. That's how the telephone system knows which tower to send incoming calls to. And that uses battery.
