Here's the top 5 pixel spec wants that i would like for the regular Pixel.

1. Camera needs OIS, and launch really fast
2. Battery needs to last much longer (would be fine with the Qualcomm 625 if it meant much better battery performance)
3. Screen - Amoled (1080p is fine)
4. Solid antennas for phone calls, 4g data and wifi
5. Awesome audio dac

That's seriously not asking too much, come on Google, make it happen.

Good list, but:
-I don't want a compromise on performance, 820 or bust.
-Accurate color display. Accurate colors aren't a developer option. Something as good as the iPhone, N5, N7 2013 etc.

Wireless charging isn't so important too me. I can't wait to use the Type C and with faster charging. Coming from a Nexus 5, these are a dream lol.

1080p Amoled is fine although 4k would be awesome.
Wireless charging isn't a much, i have a Moto X pure its turbo charge is awesome something simliar would be great.
Processor i thought the 820 wasn't compatible with Nougat?
I think at this point its a dream to get a expandable SD card slot.

The 800 (like what's in the Nexus 5) isn't compatible with Nougat, the 820 is!

I also don't care for wireless charging, I just find it so counterintuitive to have to leave the phone down on the surface to keep it charging. Until there is an "area" type wireless charging, say where I could keep the phone in a 3 sq ft radius and it would be charging, I don't need any wireless charging.

The problem with wireless charging is that its much slower than wired.

However its incredibly convenient, at the moment my nexus 5 is sitting on one of my charge pads, slowly topping itself up, I can plonk it down at night on a charge pad and its ready to pick up in the morning, or at any other time if need be.
I've also got a couple of on the go battery packs with built in QI wireless chargers, and if required i can slip one of these into my pocket, next to my phone and it charges in my pocket wireless through a case

I think now more than ever is the time to have a phone that is as reliable as the iPhone. Fast, stable and FAST.

1. Solid 60fps when navigating the UI. If every iPhone for the past half-decade has been able to do it then there's no reason a state of the art Nexus with the latest software can't. The 6P is not there yet but it's close.

2. Fast storage. App loading and install times as well as camera performance are heavily dependent on having fast storage. Fast SSD quality storage will do wonders. Just look at the iPhone 6S.
Fast storage will improve HDR+ processing time.

3. Camera improvements:

3.1 A camera app which doesn't blow a**. HDR+ is fantastic but it's a shame it's attached to a trash camera app that doesn't even allow for simple manual exposure controls. This NEEDS to be fixed.
It would also benefit from a UI overhaul.

3.2 Larger sensor and/or aperture and a longer effective focal length. 35mm would be great. I know this isn't easy but it's not impossible.

3.3 Dual Pixel autofocus. Look at how amazing the autofocus on the GS7 is. Just copy it if need be.

3.4 Image stabilisation in 4K.

4. Power efficiency. A new phone doesn't need to have a bigger battery than what's on the 6P in order to get fantastic battery life. If the components like the display and WiFi/LTE/GPS radios are power efficient then we should be set for getting 5 hours SOT easily.

5. Waterproofing.

6. Good speakers.

7. Good thermal management. A copper pipe like on the Lumia phones to spread the heat more evenly around the device will avoid a noticeable concentration of heat around the area of the SOC.

I'll happily forego the SD card as long as internal storage is plenty (ie, 128GB minimum). But give me a large, user replaceable battery! And forward firing speakers. I'm tired of cupping my hand over my iPad mini2's down firing speaker so I can hear it when watching a video. And an IR blaster which I actually use!

The wireless charging matters little to me... nor do I use the 3.5mm HP jack. But give me a huge battery. Perhaps a positive from the Note7 battery experience is that mfgs will one again consider making the battery easily user replaceable and get away from the iPhone design.

Lessee now, that's only 4 things. Oh yeah. A fast HDR camera.

But wait, there's more:
At least a 5.7 inch flat AMOLED screen that I can actually see outdoors in daylight.
A unified messaging system (not vaporware)
4 years OS and security updates
IP68 certified
A physical home button (I've been spoiled by Samsung)

Think you'll be better off sticking with Sammy. Not even Google will upgrade OS for 4 years. Security probably. Other things like replaceable battery and physical home button will likely never make into a Google phone.

Sounds great, except for the waterproofing. I've never had an urge to dunk my phone or wipe with it, so a decent water-resistance rating is fine by me (and, I imagine, less restrictive design-wise).

Still, if copying or stealing features is an option, they should also steal the old dual-Boomsound set-up from HTC along with the DAC & amp from the HTC 10.

My current 2013 Samsung flagship didn't even get security updates for 3 years. But I am aware of a certain walled garden that does keep updates flowing as long as the HW will support it. I'm trying to not go there.
