Top Apps

Great topic - here are mine:

- Google Sky Maps (I love astronomy!!)
- Facebook
- aVia Media Player (great media player!!)
- Words With Friends
- Amazon Apps (Free App of the Day!!)

Most useful to me (aside from normal FB/twitter/G+ stuff).

1. Amazon App Store
2. Springpad
3. Dolphin HD browser
4. vizBattery widget
5. Volume locker

Cool. With as much as I promote that app, you would think I had a stake in it!

Also, I have received a couple of PM's asking how I turned Circle Launcher invisible, and thought it might help someone else if I posted it in here. I'm sure most of you have figured it out, but here's the easiest way:

1. Open up Circle Launcher
2. Hit the menu button to go into the CircleLauncher configurations screen.
3. Hit the Extra Configurations link at the bottom.
4. Scroll down to Widget Icon Configuration.
5. Change the Widget Icon Size to 0.

Now the Widget will be invisible on the home screen. You'll know it's there, and you'll still have access to all of your apps, but you won't have to look at the widget.

I just use the invisible icons that are more like imprints on the screen. I can see them but they're not in the way of the image

BTW anyone know a good app to compress a 3 min video? I wanna send a video to my folks via email.

1) ES File Explorer
2) Dropbox
3) Go SMS
4) Clipper+
5) TapaTalk

For those looking for an app that displays the battery percentage in the notification bar on a non-rooted, non-ROM'd phone... have a look at BATTERY ETA (app) and BATTERY E.T.A. (Widget) in the Market. This is the first of its kind that I have found for the notification bar on a non-rooted/ROM'd phone.

Anybody have a good app which competes with Apple version of SIRI?

Vlingo is a good one. Skyvi is good also. There is also a beta one called "IRIS" (Siri spelled backwards).

I heard on the news that Google is working on a SIRI app/feature.
