Im curious, has anyone played with this new blackberry torch? I wonder how it compares to the bionic? probably no real comparison in terms of speed...but seems that blackberry released a good device..

The two devices aren't in the same league. If you want a device focused on email and messaging then a blackberry may be for you. If you're interested in anything else then the Bionic wins.

Crapberry and android...you can't compare the two. Blackberrys are for business men that have their pants so far up their @sses they don't know whats good. Android is such an awesome OS. Just...don't...compare...them. low end android devices are better than the modern day BB

BlackBerry gives you the best out of the box experience. This is good for business men that don't have the time or need to install new apps from the market, or visit forums. Android can truly be customized, but you will have go through and see what apps fit your need.
I prefer Android over Blackberry now, because I can change so many of the phone's features. There are those that think otherswise.

You can't really compare a blackberry (I was a fanboy too) to any modern Droid device. They are still cool but the Verizon guys said they were coming back like mad at our store. I want that thing to be a great device really bad too.

The Droid has been tight for my wife except for the Facebook contact sync issue.

I had the Torch for a little while.

It was decent, but the lack of apps really sucks. Google voice on it is really bad. It doesn't have push so I was getting my text messages late. Same things with other apps.

I used to love blackberry phones but after playing my wife's DROID X and getting my DROID Bionic. I can tell you the torch isn't even in the same league.

I had a BB Storm, and I hated it. My daughter still has hers and loves it, but does not want the Torch. She will be switching over to an iPhone "whatever" in a month, and she is very excited. I looked at her data usage for the past year, and she has never gone over 50 MB of usage in a month. Her unlimited plan was a waste. I'm sure that will all change when she switches to an iPhone.

I had a blackbeery for 4 years and was really hoping for them to come back but I could not upgrade my BB Tour to another unit that wasn't 4g and also was not going to go 2 years on a new BB that was not QNX yet.

I also got a Samsung Tab (originally had the Xoom but got VZW to swap me since the upgrade took so long)... That was my first Android device and I loved it... the Bionic just seemed like the right move, maybe i'll go back to RIM next round of upgrades.
