Toshiba, update potential?

The only thing that scares me about the Toshiba tablet, is the update factor. Being that their new in this modern tab era, I don't want to hv the same tablet I bought 6mos prior. Are they gonna update on the schedule that competes with its competition? If someone has info, pls chime in.

That is the reason I went with the xoom. I know that it being motorola device it will get updates throughout its life. The thrive, who can say.

guess is as good as mine. if their update history with the thrive is good, i might buy thrive 2. i'm a fan of toshiba hardware-wise.

If the tablet doesn't satisfy your needs now--don't get it. It's a mistake to count on manufacturers to update their devices in a timely way.

it's not like that with the xoom. hence the question and basis for comparison. i get what you mean though: the device should satisfy you off the box, but updates are important to some.
