Please forgive me as I am brand new to the whole Android Tablet thing and it;s not like using a PC in most respects as far as the details go. So I have a really dumb question:
When I am ready to get a "paid" app onto my Nexus 7 do I need to purchase it directly on the tablet or do I do it on the PC first? If by tablet, do I do it the same way I would on a PC or do I have to use some special wallet thing or paypal only (which would be worse)? Is the tablet able to use secure sites (HTTPS)?
Ok it was three questions, who's counting?

You can do it either in tablet or in web here https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...s://play.google.com/store/apps&token=a1fBqIWS both are secure. Dont worry about that.

from web or tablet you will have to add your credit/debit card to your account. if its not added it will prompt you with an option to add one.
You dont have to create a separate wallet account or anything. when you add the card it will automatically create one. btw, no paypal accepted only wallet.

You buy apps through Google Play, using your Google Wallet. As far as I know this is very secure and I presume you're already set up on it as I did it as part of the setup process.

Paid apps are purchased on the tablet or PC (https) through the play store. Payment is the same as on the PC you have a credit card linked to your google play account (google wallet) and it will use that.

Thanks everyone. Of course, I'll be using the $25 credit first which I think is kinda nice, if you ask me. First pay app will be Squeeze Commander which will leave $20 credit to be used later (maybe). Then I'm going to explore the free apps in both Google Play and Amazon. That will probably take me the beter part of a year since between the two there are around 1,000,000 apps just in the Free area....ok, maybe not 1 million, but there are tons and tons, maybe too many. It may take me a while to use the remaining credit, I wonder if it expires? I'll go find out.
I will want to use the PC to explore the Amazon apps because I found out that you can demo many of them on the PC to see what they look like before purchase.
Man! All these apps and tricks and things..what a strange world you lot live in! (I'm just teasing you). It's a pretty amazing place this Android tablet world. My jaw dropped last night as I was watching a voice control demo for the N7. My mouth was open the whole time. Much more to be dicovered as well, I'm sure. Once I learn this thing I think I'm going to be blown away by it's ability to really make my life more efficient and get things done and even a medical purpose helping me see things that are too small from normal distances and more as my eyes will probably get worse eventually.
