I downloaded an app called RAM TRUTH and it says my G8 has 5472 MB total RAM. Is that normal? What is the total RAM of your G8?

This is a general answer. Usually, you do not get the actual RAM that your manufacturer advertises. Because the device itself consumes a portion of RAM. You can calculate the usable RAM by used RAM + Free RAM. Usable RAM always differs from the RAM that your manufacturer advertises. I've experienced 181MB of RAM for 512 MB once. So, your condition may not be unusual.

Per the LG smart clean (found in the settings) which allows the user to see the outlay for which apps are using ram and how much, I have 5.6 total ram.
