Touch issues?

Anyone having any touch responsiveness issues with the Shield K1? I got this tablet for my wife right when they were announced and she's complained of it being locked up several times. I never witnessed it happen but now the complaint changed to being hard to get it to register touch. I finally caught it in the act the other night and what I witnessed was that button pushes took several attempts to register and it took much more pressure than normal. Swiping didn't work at all. Cycling power had no effect. It just eventually returned to normal operation when I tried it again in 15 minutes. I suspect the earlier locked up issues were probably also touch issues?

Anyone seeing anything like this? Any ideas other than a reset?

Wow! Just read through a bunch of the Amazon reviews. Apparently the touch issue is a very widespread problem with this tablet. Even several of the "good" reviews mention touch sensitivity problems. My wife also confirmed she has the battery life issues these are experiencing as well.

I had already arranged to exchange hers before reading the reviews but now I'm not holding out much hope that the new one is any better.

Have you tried to re-calibrate the touch sensitivity? If not, got to settings/about device, then rapidly touch the model number a few times. This will take you to the touch sensitivity screen.

I am pretty sure that this problem was on old tablet because I haven't read that K1 had these problems. But if you have then you can fix it by recalibrating the screen like Aredubu said.
