Touch response delay

i always turn off animations whenever i get an Android hahaha. struggling on IOS to turn off animations like how it works on Android.+ and - i guess of different Operating Systems.
I use to back in the day , but with Nova or stock launcher it's very fast and fluid so left it off .

This wasn't what I thought it would be. On the S20+ I have there is a true, well not sure if delay is the word for it, to me it's more like a sensitivity problem. I can't tell you how many times I've had to touch the same thing multiple times to get them to register. They'll even some times blink like they were touched but I'll get no reaction. That's what I was expecting.

As I began reading the comments they almost sounded like an issue from when I first started using gestures, where you kind of have to prime the device before it will accept the input. So to go back or to go home from inside of an app you have to pull or swipe and then the phone is like are you sure you want to navigate, then you confirm by pulling or swiping again. Turning off gestures is one way to make the device feel faster, some say. I do and don't really notice or pay that much attention to them so if turning them off is the worst thing I'll have to experience vs no response at all, I'm cool with that.
