Android Central Question

Alright, my Samsung J7 fell yesterday and it doesn't have any physical damage (scratches, shattered screen etc.) but about 80% of my screen from the bottom doesn't respond to my touch, the very top does. All the buttons and finger print etc. work. Now I can see some form of purple liquid(?) oozing from the top left corner and I think it is expanding. I just got the phone not even a month ago and my parents are disappointed in me and are going to get angry. Will repairing it cost a lot? I don't have a contract to repair any damages. Can I try replacing the screen myself with a screen from eBay?

Accidents happen. You’re still okay, which is what your parents really care about.
Screen replacement calls for skill and is probably best left to repairers. There may also be other damage of which you are unaware.
