So my wife just called me and said that her touch screen isn't working correctly. I haven't seen it yet, but she said that it opens incorrect things when you press it. No water damage or falls and was working fine earlier this morning.

What can I try when she gets home? Thanks.

Reboot ... pull the battery and put it back in.

If it's rooted, lower the cpu setting. ;)

If not rooted, never been rooted and rebooting/pulling battery/holding down power button for 30 sec. doesn't work:
menu/settings/privacy/factory reset.

If you want to save apps before factory reset then download AppTyrant. It will save all apps in their .apk form to a folder on the sd card. Once factory reset is done, copy/paste all .apk's to the root of the sd card and then install each one. This is much quicker than having to find the app/download and install the app,
ES file explorer is a good file manager for this purpose.
