Touch Wiz bottom 4 dock buttons: Customizable ?

So those 4 persistent icons that I always see at the bottom of the Galaxy phones ( "Phone", "Contacts", "Messaging", "Applications" ). Are we stuck with those 4, or are you able to customize these?

Can you resize those windows/widgets on the screen, that's like a nice feature the Droid X has I would like this one to have (I'm a little OCD about my display and how it is presented)

Its not in the basic UI. I think its a feature in ADW Launcher though. So it can be achieved.

I lost my Messaging button somehow....now clue how or where it went.

Since I don't do messaging, I'm wondering if and how to drop a new icon there.

Right now its an empty space.....

Anyone?

You have to hit that little gear that's in the top left. Just swipe the screen left or right and on the top left you'll see a gear icon. Tap that, and that will allow you to drag/drop icons in and out of the dock.

Nope, when I do that the entire 4 button menu disappears.

We are talking about the bottom menu that has Phone, Contacts, Messanging and Application buttons.

Still no clue how to access that.
