Touch wiz

I am currently using adw I like it much better than touch wiz. I have read in many of these forums about how people have uninstalled or disabled or dumped touch wiz. How can I do this?

1) Root your phone (if not done already, which it looks like you have).
2) Use SDX Stock App Remover to uninstall any component(s) of TW you wish.

If you have facebook contacts synced you will force close errors without TW installed, other than that you should be fine

used that program to delerte twlauncher and now my phone locks up about 30 seconds after startup!! i am getting ready to flash again, unless some konw a better way.

ok i was able to restore that apk before the phone locked up (love this super fast rom) and it seems to have fixed the problem. still same question, what went wrong?

What launcher are you using? In order to remove TW, you have to move the launcher .apk from the /data/app to the /system/app folder. Once you have done that, you can remove TW

didnt know about all that now. i am using adw launcher. there is not an option in sdx to move anything. it only gives options to delete or restor.
do i use another app to move the file and then delete? if so what

Make sure you move adw into system/app before deleting tw. You will get fc's, reboot and it should be good to go

no. keep hearing about this nandroid but never saw anything on how to do this nandroid thing.

You have installed Clockwork and Rom manager? In RM backup current rom. That is your nandroid. Don't do this on Voodoo

ok, then im good. and voodoo will NEVER see my phone again!
that was the app btw. moved it. restarted. deleted twlauncher. restarted. perfect. i can honestly say there is a bit of improvement, and even though i now know that its not as important, that freed up an additional 40M.
did i mention that you guys rock. if not for this forum i would absolutely hate this phone. instead i love it. thanks again.
