Rather than make another thread I'm going to hijack (sorry), has anyone found a simple way to capitalize the letter 'I' automatically? That keeps tripping up my typing because the Sense board knows to do this but I specifically have to hit shift first or select capital 'I' from the suggestion menu in TouchPal. Swiping should be quicker than that.

Mine does it automatically... I have capitalization on, Idk if that matters or not

Thanks, I have capitalization on as well. Do you have "auto spell correct" on or off? I have mine off because I use a lot of uncommon words and terms, and I find that it usually screws things up more than it does fix them. That might be my problem though. Maybe it wants to auto-correct to make it capital.

Why don't you have it to learn the way you type... That way it will know most of your uncommon sayings... The keyboard sucked when I first got the phone but it pretty much get everything I Swype now

True. It looks like their apps rating is going downhill. Either Swiftkey or Google keyboard for now. I've submitted this app to developer console.

I have "auto spell correct" off as well. My "I" capitalizes on it's on after a sentence ending in a period if that is what you mean. It does not capitalize as a word in a sentence. I have to do that myself. I do not swipe though, I tap.

Yea, that's what happens and it bugs me. It would be intelligent for them to automatically capitalize an 'I' in a sentence as it's quite uncommon for someone to use 'i' by itself rather than 'I' (in grammatically correct English).

I gave TouchPal another try but ended up disabling it again. Too cutesy, too unintelligent with its suggestions.

I went back to Swiftkey. Not perfect, but I fight with it less.

Thats pretty much how I feel. Swiftkey isnt perfect, nor do I expect a prediction keyboard to be, but its the best of the ones Ive tried personally.

I stuck with it and it learn my typing from twitter and my messages sent. Now I can swipe and the suggestions are 100% correct. Use it for a Week and it will learn and sometimes takes less than three days.

Mine capitalizes the I in the middle of a sentence and I have not had any issues with that part at all. As a matter of fact, the two instances in my last sentence were automatically capitalized.
