Touchscreen intermittent but pen works perfectly

My wife has started having a strange issue with her US Cellular Galaxy Note 4 today...

Her touchscreen is really intermittent.. Sometime it works fine and others just doesn't want to, especially on the left side of the screen, but the S Pen works perfectly even when the touchscreen isn't... Does anyone have any suggestions before I take it to us cellular and file a warranty repair claim on it?

Does the case she uses have magnets? Normally, a magnetic case will affect the screen with both touch and the s-pen, not just one of them, so this is just a WAG. If her case does have magnets, take the phone out of the case and see what happens in a few days. A lot of the time it fixes itself.

No magnets in the case... It behaves the same way out of the case but I told her the pen still works perfect so try using the pen for a few days and see if it clears itself up. I will keep you posted on where I end up with it.

Bummers... sounds like a bad digitizer, even though the pen works. Your Note should still be under warranty (1 year), I would think. I would contact your carrier to see what can be done. Reporting it early might be a good thing. Good luck!
