Touchscreen Issues - Perhaps Unreleated to those reported

Good Afternoon,....

I searched extensively via Google and I couldn't find anything exactly like the issue I'm experiencing. It doesn't happen constantly, but enough to be an interruption. Regardless of how I'm holding the phone, sometimes at random, the phone will think the right side/middle of screen is being pressed repeatedly and the screen "freaks out." For instance, I'll be on the "home" screen and all the sudden it will think I'm clicking on the "weather" from the digital clock/weather widget.

Any ideas? Do you think I should exchange my phone or do is this related to the grounding issue reported in the other threads?

Do you have a screen protector or case installed?

Regardless, this sounds like a replacement to me. There was another person with a screen that wouldn't do multi-touch properly.

In follow-up; I did exchange the phone and the replacement works perfectly! Thanks for the advice xorbe!

Initially, I didn't have a screen protector installed when the issue started. For some reason, I thought an even pressure from a shield may resolve the issue. I installed an Invisishield, which was a really stupid move, and the issue continued. I took off the shield before the exchange and I have a replacement kit on the way.
