Touchscreen sensitivity issues starting to annoy me

I am currently running superclean 2.9.2 non voodoo with Launcher Pro no themes. The touchscreen response would slow down at times and then it would stop working completely. I would have to turn the screen off and turn it back on for it to work.

Sometimes it only happens once or twice a day, today it happend like 15 times. I tried everything from running the AOSP launcher, to turning off the auto rotate feature in Launcher Pro. Other than this setback, the rom is awesome. Anybody know what I can do to make this go away? I have read somewhere that it is a froyo bug that affects a certain number of galaxy S's.
