Touchwiz bug?

I just got the captivate and i love it except for one thing:

It is not possible to dial phone numbers from within a calendar appointment. The iPhone suffered from this a couple years ago, but other android handsets i have do not - so this must be a Touchwiz mess.

Anyone know if there is a way to install an alternate calendar? Or is there a place to report to Samsung - I looked at their site and there doesn't appear to be much there.

not sure if they provide the functionality you desire but yes there are other calendar apps on the market. Just search the market and read the comments or developers websites to see if they provide that desired functionality.

I see many of calendar widgets, but they all take you back to the touchwiz calendar app. i was hoping someone had experience or knowledge of a calendar replacement that solved my problem.

I am a power user, so searching the app market and reading comments is something i did first.
