Touchwiz home custom app shortcuts reverting to normal after every reboot.

No matter what shortcut maker app I use, app icons and names "revert" to their original ones after every reboot.
someone else also has the same problem here

and has concluded that it's a problem with Sammy's Touchwiz home launcher itself, except that in my case some of the icons and their names revert, some only revert the names, and some don't revert at all.

I use Galaxy note4 Marshmallow 6.0.1

And yes I wiped data of the shortcut maker app and the touchwiz launcher; problem still persists.

Granted, this is not a direct solution, but how often are you rebooting, and is it really necessary? I only reboot my phone if something is acting glitchy.

In my honest opinion, I think It's irrelevant because I'm supposed to be able to reboot whenever I want to.
I don't mean this in an offensive way or anything but I don't think that can be considered a direct or indirect solution.

I realize that, but this is probably a limitation of the shortcut maker apps. It might be specific to how they interact with TouchWiz -- have you tried a 3rd party launcher like Nova?

Yes, The shortcuts which revert only revert on Touchwiz but they work fine on Nova.

update: It seems that the rest of the shortcuts stoped reverting for now, but the name of the shortcut for play store in particular still reverts.

Check in accessibility , installed services if it needs to be enabled , some do.
