tried searching the forums for this but it kept sending me to other phone sub-forums.

is there a ROM out there for the Sprint Hero that has Samsung's TouchWiz interface??

I found a Touchwiz theme over on XDA: TouchWiz For HTC HERO! - xda-developers

It might be a launcher themed to replicate the Touchwiz features - a quick search on appbrain did not yield a download, so i'm not sure if it's available on the market but the .apk is in the thread.
