Yeah exactly. I was scheduled to get my Pixel 2 on November 15. A whole month and 10 days later.

Yeah, it would make more sense for them not to expect the trade in device until after we get the new phones.

That's corporate covering their behind. They want an out in case something changes. For most, I don't think it will be a problem unless the market takes a dramatic shift.

1. If I recall correctly, if the final offer turns out to be anything less than you were quoted, you can refuse it and they will return your device. At that point, you can dispose of it in any manner you see fit - or just toss it into your "old phones" drawer.

2. Frankly, I will be surprised if Google does not pay the full quoted price in all cases (with the exception of phones which turn out to be not in the stated condition).

Here is a real question, what if you send in your trade in device b4 u get your new pixel and then for whatever reason decide to cancel, do you get your device you traded in back?? I'm not suppose to receive mine until late November

They told me you get your phone back I called and asked my self
