Trade-in question

I will be sending in my S21 ultra as the trade-in.

The S21 Ultra was purchased through VZ plan (payed off the balance), do I need to have it unlocked? either by me (i will need to find out how)? or will VZ have to do it?

Will a hard reset take care of the unlocking as well as clearing the phone?

I received the P7P yesterday and transferred everything from the S21 and switched the SIM card. Powered up the phone and everything seems ok, I now need to learn how to personalize, home screen and such.

It doesn't need to be unlocked. Just make sure it's factory reset.

I haven't received the return packaging yet, but when I do I will factory reset (photograph/film it). Then ship it to Google.

Traded my 6 Pro. Everything went according to plan just make sure you unenroll from the Android Beta program. And factory reset the device. It might take a few days Once it gets to Nashville via USPS, but don't worry. They gave me full credit and it appeared on my Google Store account 2 days later.
