I'm thinking of trading-in my S4 for an S7. The S4 is in excellent condition. How much should I be able to get for my S4 toward the S7 cost?
Would I get a better deal online, or at a Verizon store?

Thanks

Don't trade it in. You'll get next to nothing for it. Keep that old phone as a back up. Don't trade that phone in....

I agree you should keep your Galaxy S4 as a backup. I still have my Galaxy S3, S5, and S6 as backup phones. I just got the Galaxy S7 from AT&T. These phones were bought at the 2 year contract price on 1 line. My Galaxy S5 is rooted so I can create a hotspot with my unlimited data. I have home internet so I am not abusing it.

It wouldn't be abuse if you used it more. Sorry to high jack lol

Maybe OP needs the money to help pay for the upgrade. I know I do. I have a perfectly working and flawless looking S5. No GOOD reason to pay for the latest and greatest flagship phone. I'm trying to wait till WM has it for $100 (like they did the S5 within a month of it's release) and then sell my old phone for at least that much.

As said, don't trade it. The Verizon salesman I dealt with asked if I might want to trade in my S4. I knew I wouldn't be interested, but I asked how much. He said maybe $50. I almost laughed as I declined. ;)

If nothing else you could probably sell it online and get at least a little more. But I'm keeping mine as a backup.

I use it when if I bring my laptop or tablet to work or going out of town. I only bring my tablet during football season due to Verizon having exclusive phone access to NFL games. My home internet through Charter has a 99.9999% up rate since they encrypted all tv channels and it is only $40 month for 60 Mbs.

Good Verizon S4s sell for about $100 and down (usually plus shipping and insurance). It's not that $50 is such a bad price, it's that the phone is hardly worth anything any more. (I'm still running my Note 3 - about the same age - because there's nothing out there that will give me anything I don't have.)
