I currently own the Pixel 7 pro but I am very intrigued by S23 Ultra with the updated camera sensor and Snapdragon chip. I don't think the pixel will get a good trade in for Samsung S23 Ultra.
For those that have the S22 Ultra when you purchased it from Samsung did you trade in a phone and what trade in value did Samsung give you when you traded it in.
I'm contemplating buying a used Ultra S21 or S22 for trade in for the new Ultra

Pixel 3a XL: $400
Pixel 3a: $400

I forget how much I got through TMO and Samsung for my Pixel 5 but it was a ridiculously awesome amount (bill credits over 2 years), similar to the Verizon amounts posted above. So cross your fingers, wait and see.

My son got an amazing trade in amount on his pixel 5 for the Fold 4, so if they're looking to flood the market with new devices you may see some great trade in offers.

Yes carriers have good amounts for trade INS. Just have to keep in mind it's at least a 2 year contract, 3 with some like Verizon. I get it, you can pay the balance off at anytime, but you lose the remaining credits. That to me is the same as ETF, (EARLY TERMINATION FEE). If a person keeps their phones for 2 years or more this is a good option though.

Ordered my S22U from Samsung site... they gave me $950 for my two year old Note 20 U. And they were offering $100 free upgrade to the 128GB model. I will wait and see if they bring out the $1000 offer for my S22U sometime this year.

This is the deal I done also. I ordered a couple months after launch and that was when the best deal popped up.

So was this the best time for your specific device, or do you think anybody who traded in any device this was the time for the best deals? I'm asking because I'm interested in trading in my s22 ultra for the s23 ultra and I would have just assumed that opening day would be the best time for me.

Hello? Bueller? Anyone? Appreciate any advice? Are trade in values and free gifts best/highest on preorder date or could things only get better if you wait? I definitely will be upgrading but want the best deal possible! Thanks all

I believe it was mentioned that some folks got an even better trade-in deal AFTER pre-order date.

Thank you.
I wonder what's the best thing to do. I'll likely take the plunge on opening day and hope for the best. Appreciate your reply.

I didn't pay attention to the deals at launch but I believe the $1000 trade-ins didn't happen until months after launch. 2-3 months because after the initial excitement at launch and the people that wanted one immediately get theirs... then they have to discount because no one wants them at that price and they are not going to meet their sales estimates if they don't. And by end of year they still miss their sales estimate. Deals for us!

When the $1,000 was after the launch was there the double the memory free deal.

Lately launch deals are $800+ for trade in, $200 promo credits, free double memory upgrade, and a free case or something. The fold 3 also came with a free year asurion insurance.

Pre order specials are usually best deal you will get if you include the freebies. If you want straight cash discount might be better to wait as you say.
