Trade Ins

Correct. As long as it's shipped by the deadline date you're fine. I always ship mines around the last day. They actually give you about a week after the deadline.
Same here. There's absolutely no reason to race for the trade in. Give it some time in case you are like some that decide they are going to return the new phone.

I've done chat support before and they even have the option to extend your trade in time you can select without talking to them.

Mine arrived yesterday and today it said it was successful, the fastest they ever confirmed this lol

Mine arrived the 12th and it says they will take up to 21 days which will be March. Just my luck I guess.

Everyone gets the 21 day process email. Most of the time it takes less then a week, but don't get worried if it takes longer. You received they have your phone email. I've gone 2 months before and finally received a email they manually approved the trade in as it never went thru the inspection process for some reason so they just accepted it. They said they received it so it's on them.

Mine also received on February 12th and haven't heard anything about it.

Maybe the Feb 12 inspection folks were slacking

Anyway, not much we can do and have to wait at least 21 days before we can reach out to them. Otherwise, they'll simply give the standard response of wait till 21 business days.

I've found that 3/4 of the battle for trade in process is FedEx. I wish Samsung would also change the trade in shipper to UPS. I would pay to ship thru UPS myself if I could.
Was checking the Trade-in FAQs today and you can pay yourself to ship with whichever carrier you like.

Can I send my trade-in using a different shipper than FedEx?

Yes, you can send your trade-in device by U.S. Postal Service, UPS, or another shipping method, but you will be responsible for the shipping fees. Please note: you must include the bottom half of the pre-paid shipping label we sent you in the package to help us track your order accurately.

I ordered the S25 Ultra via the Samsung website to replace a phone on my existing Verizon line and chose the $1000 trade-in rebate via monthly bill credits. However, in my confirmation emails, there were no directives on how to initiate the trade-in. I was expecting some sort of UPS link or label so I could ship my S22 Ultra back to Verizon. The kicker is this, when I contacted Verizon support they saw no such notation on my account about a trade-in and suggested I go to my local Verizon store to start the trade-in process. I've been with Verizon for 20+ years and have never had to do a trade-in that way. How are my fellow Verizon customers initiating their trade-ins?

Well that's awesome with a concern. Samsung isn't going to be tracking the shipper I use, so when they receive it there will be no we received your trade in email. Probably will get the email reminding you to send in, and the auto system will charge you eventually, so I imagine there may be a call or 2 involved to Samsung.

I specifically asked Samsung if we could do this and I was told no. Thanks for sharing

In the past I've taken them to a corporate store just so I have a receipt they have it.

That's why you put the bottom half of the trade-in print out inside the box. Once the trade-in center scans that, it should automatically send the emails IMO.

That's what I said put it in the box aka package.

They'll unbox the package and scan the barcode to link it to our order.

Anyways, not something I'm going to do in future as well, I'm fine shipping with FedEx
I was talking about the receiving it email they send.. You won't get that and if they lose your phone now you have to take steps to show Samsung the tracking and have them do their thing. The benefit with using their prepaid is they have access to the tracking. I would also be scared if they do lose it or will be on is to make the claim with shipper. The more I think about it the more I think it's a not so great idea to use another shipper. Just my thoughts

Not a big deal, you just won't hear anything from Samsung until they actually open the box and do the testing. And sense testing can and has taken weeks some on here will go bonkers not knowing the status.

Mine was in Hutchins TX on Friday with weather delay notation. it's been on the way to Irving TX since Saturday. I think they sent it by pigeon.
