Trade iPad 2 for Nexus 7 Tablet

Bingo.

I can't take my hands off my nexus but it doesn't really fit my household, everything else being apple products that "just work" with each other. I love my nexus, but if I had an ipad2 I would sell it to buy an iPad 3, not downgrade to an inferior product. Its not a disrespect to the nexus 7, its just the nexus 7 is a Honda, kindle fire is a KIA, and an iPad is a Mercedes, not really comparable products.

i know this is an old thread, and there are many threads asking about trading in stuff for other stuff, so i can't afford to make a new one.

i was wondering, i have a Nexus 4 and a Note 2. both are great devices. but the idea of getting an ipad 2 (to fit the need for a tablet) struck my mind. it's great to have the Nexus 4, but sometimes i don't really see a point of having two phones at the same time. i will certainly not letting go of the Note 2, but i was thinking of trading the Nexus 4 with an i-Pad 2.

but, i'll miss one thing for sure - the immediate updates directly from Google (which was my point of getting the Nexus 4 in the first place). i know the i-Pad 2 seems old, considering Apple has been notoriously introducing new gen of i-Pads annually..

i need opinions from all of you good citizens of AC, do help me out what are the pros and conts?...

If you're going to leave your iPad for an Android tablet I think you might do better with the Nexus 10. While the 7's screen is nice you may miss the screen real estate. You could also consider Sony Xperia Tablet Z. If you chose the Nexus 7 from a fiscal standpoint I would advise waiting, unless you really want a smaller (albeit, lighter) device.
