Trading iphone 5 for DNA or note 2, thoughts?

OK and???? To me and a lot others CDMA works real wayy better than gsm. Better voice quality is the best reason being these are smartPHONE lol.

You guys still have CDMA carriers? LOL

That's some excellent input there...

Really depends on how much you use your phone and what for. The Note 2 is great for productivity, and I would assume gaming on that big screen with the big ole' battery. Obviously, its large in hand and comfort level is subjective. The DNA is great all around and they fit the 5" display in a pretty small package. My battery life on the DNA is excellent but I wouldn't classify myself as a power user or anything. For general web browsing, texting, phone calls, and youtube it lasts me all day very easily. Before you make your selection, keep in mind your typical usage. If your on it a lot (and away from chargers), the Note 2 would probably be best. Otherwise based on my personal experience, try the DNA.

I like the Note 2 's powerful battery, and it performances very well. DNA, I haven't used it, but I think it cannot compete with Note 2 in battery.

May not be able to compete on a day to day basis, but I have gotten two days without charging with moderate use on my DNA where my husband's note has to be plugged in everyday when he gets off work. He leaves around 0530 and returns home at 1930 so he gets around 14 hours per charge.

Well I got the note on trade and he gave me a extended battery lmao thats crazy. It would last a week with yhst battery.
Im gkad I got this phone so far but ive only had it for 2 hours. Its already better for my eyes and the size is perfect. Battery drain is what I expected. I used to use Lux on my gs3 fir screen brightness but is there a way I can set calibrate auto brightness on android like u can on ios?

That's good considering he probably is a power user.

I just got the DNA yesterday. Coming from a RAZR, and the Evo 3D before that, I can definitely say this is the best phone I've ever had. I've toyed with the Note 2 and a GS3 and can say I prefer Sense over Touchwiz. Add in the probability of the DNA getting Sense 5 in the future and I'd say this phone is on par with the HTC One... Except for the camera features and aluminum body.

I would wait to see what the GS 4 is all about this week then make a choice DNA only 16gb right there alone id wouldn't buy. I have a Note 2 love it has way more support then the DNA for games and apps. Phones on one carrier i would stay away from less updates

What evidence do you have to support less updates because of being on a single carrier? It work make more sense if there would be more updates for that device since the OEM wouldn't have multiple devices to care for.

Sprint and Verizon would beg to differ. And plus how is CDMA dying???? Its 4 carriers 2 of each. So where is the death.

I never said CDMA was dying; I only wished it a painful death :) But in all seriousness, CDMA is essentially dead in virtually every part of the world except the US. Verizon and Sprint are among the last few major CDMA carriers.

Yeah the US is so backwards, CDMA? LOLOL those carriers should just do us a favour and die.

Well I am a Note2 user. I love it. Been my best choice for a smartphone. I suggest playing with them. It boils down to what you want. I am very pleased and this is my daily user.

Unfortunately they're the largest and third largest carriers, so it'll take a lot of time and intelligence (the latter of which seems to be lacking in the US) to phase them out.

Do you think there may be a military strategy with cdma/lte? I am not a conspiracy theory guy (puts on aluminum hat.)

I love my note 2. I don't get the flimsy plastic crap. Mine doesn't creak or feel flimsy. One thing I would consider is the dna is still relatively new and here comes the One. Is HTC going to keep up with updates or is it going to be like the thunderbolt and get forgotten about? My thunderbolt was a tank, but it needed to be because I felt like tossing it across the room. My note is very modded. Their subforums are great over at xda. I use a stock based international touchwiz rom so all the features samsung intended are there instead of verizons hack job. Themed to make touch wiz look better as well as some other mods. I would check out the development community for each. I couldn't deal with 11gb free space though. My note is my mp3 player in the gym. Do I have to have all 25gb of music on my phone? No, but why settle? Games look great, Web browsing is good. Texting is cumbersome sometimes one handed but that's the only downside I think.

I have a problem with it feeling cheap maybe it isn't actually cheap, but coming from an iphone apple spoilt me with the premium build quality. The Nexus 4 is the first Android phone that I looked at and said "wow!"( of course the HTC one looks even better)
