Transfer data from phone to sim card

Just put a sim card in and want to transfer data from my phone to the sim card

Welcome to Android Central! SIM cards hold very little data -- typically up to 250 contacts and some SMS messages. Are you talking about an SD card instead? Which phone do you have?

The SIM card is only for the phone to communicate with you carrier. It's not, and can't be used for, data transfer.

Maybe you mean an SD card? That's a different thing.
