Transfer Google Play Music to new phone (downloaded music)

Hi Everyone,
I am planning on buying a new phone within the next week, going from an S5 to Honor 8. I have a subscription to Google Play music which I use to download music to my SD card to listen to without using data when I am away from home. My question is that when I get the new phone and and move the SD card, will the downloaded music be readable by the new phone? I would be signing in with the same account but I am not sure if the new phone will recognize the music that was downloaded on the old phone. I have a lot of music downloaded and not looking forward to having to start over. Has anyone done this before?

No, you'll need to redownload the music from the Play Music app on the new phone.
