man seems like I'm always having issues. with this 5X okay so I went to internal storage and put my music in the music folder.
I can see it when its plugged into the computer but under music on the phone I don't see it at all. no
music

Is this your itunes music? When I did mine, my computer prompted me to convert the file.

I have them on my S7 the same file? and I can see them when I plugged into the computer but not when I look in google play music. that's a windows format

Is the phone in usb file sharing mode (FTP)?

What happens when you search for the music/a song in file manager-either mm built-in (Storage & USB>Explore) or 3rd party ? I can't locate properties of a file with native manager, but with 3rd party, you can locate where the file is stored.
Did you use Play Music on your S7?

Can the music app even play WMA files? I never use that format, so haven't tried. Even if it can, are those songs DRM-protected?
