Android Central Question

I'm trying to transfer files to my Android phone (ZTE Z719DL) from my computer (Windows 10) as I've done before. However, when I attempt, each file creates an error "ding" in Windows and doesn't transfer or even give an error message.

It's not a protected folder (I'm transferring to Music), I've made sure I was in MTP, enabled developer mode and turned on USB debugging, checked the device manager, and even tried another computer. I can transfer files off the phone to the PC, but not the other way around.

I saw this problem before on here, but it was fixed by removing a second phone from the computer, which I dont have connected in the first place, so the solution doesn't help. I even unplugged all other devices, just in case.

Any ideas? All I'm trying to do is add some more music...

Welcome to Android Central! Are you trying to copy the music to Internal Storage or an SD card? Have you already tried a different USB cable?

Are you transferring music files, or music file shortcuts? You can't copy shortcuts. (You also can't copy 0-length files.) The error ding in Windows normally means the error is on the Windows side.
