When i setup my new Pixel 5, i transferred all my data from pixel 4 XL. Now I can see all my photos in Google photos app. But they're not in the device photos. From Google drive which is fine. But how do i actually get all those pictures to the on device folder instead of seeing it from the cloud. Some of the apps will only let me attach it from the camera folder

You have to manually download them, if I understand what you're asking

How did you do the transfer -- from a cloud backup, or using a direct USB-C cable connection? The locally saved photo files will only be copied over if you use the cable connection. Using a cloud backup won't automatically download all of your photos from Google Photos.

Didn't use the cable. But did the copy data from old phone which is the same as cable but using Bluetooth connectivity.

Do you recall having a selection screen where you could check on or off what was copied over?
