How do I transfer pics from my S6 my computer won't recognize it unlike my S5

I use an app called Photo Transfer App and it works great. Both devices have to be on the same WiFi network.

Samsung has an app for that also. I can't remember the name off the top of my head

If you use one of the apps mentioned above, it won't have to (at least via USB). I use an app called Wifi File Transfer Pro (there's a free version also). If your phone and your computer are on the same wifi network, the phone will allow connections to it through a dedicated IP address and port (e.g., "192.168.1.7:1234"). On your computer you'd then open a browser window and enter that URL/address. A page interface will appear that mimics your phone's file structure. Navigate to the folder that contains your pics (DCIM\Camera), and you can choose to download one or more of them to the computer.

Easy as pie and a fantastic way to get around the computer not recognizing your phone via USB.
