Transferring data to computer with broken screen

Sadly, I've only had my Galaxy S3 for half a year and it fell off a car yesterday, destroying the glass screen and the digitizer. I have a lot of pictures and videos of much sentimental value that I must get off my phone. The phone still works though, I can turn it on and off and still hear the sound effects. I also still get notifications and still receive calls. Simply put, the phone is still running but with a broken screen. It is not rooted, is running Android 4.1, and USB-debugging is NOT on.

When I connect it via USB to my computer, it shows up as a Portable Media Player and I cannot access my files via Windows Explorer.
When I open Samsung Kies, it will not connect because my screen has a pattern lock. And of course, my screen is broken so I cannot unlock it.

I know there are many apps that I could've and should've used to backup my data, but it is too late now.

Please tell me there is a way to get my stuff! :'(

I think you can probably install the Android SDK on your computer and use ADB to "pull" the contents off your phone. It's quite a project to get it set up, though.
