Transferring Data

Is there any easy way to transfer apps and data to this phone yet? Since we don't have full root capability and can't install Titanium, is there any other way?

what "data" are you trying to transfer? all your contacts and stuff are backed up with google, so soon as you sign in you have your contacts. and as d3xn2o said, back up your apps with AppBrain and then reinstall them onto your new phone. as for pictures or anything like that, open your phone/s up as usb and copy the pics, music, wallpapers or whatever, from one phone to the next.

I was thinking apps (customizations, game save data), can that be done with app brain?

yea i know the pics and all that, but i was thinking data for the games, and texts specifically, as you stated everything else is in the cloud (email,contacts, etc.)

its not really THAT important, but it would be nice. wish google made it easier on us to transfer this stuff.

Sms backup/restore for texts. Not sure if it works from one phone to the next, though.

I'm sure someone is working on root. It might take a little while if its like the g2. Our maybe not.

Appbrain for apps.

SMS backup+ for backing up and restoring all Texts (Doesn;t restore MMS)
SMS Backup + - Android app on AppBrain

Used SWIFtp over Wifi to backup and resore everything on SD Card
SwiFTP FTP Server - Android app on AppBrain

All contacts etc thru Google

Only real thing I lost was Angry Birds levels completed
