"Transferring file. Please wait..." Samsung Accessory Service message - What is this?

I recently updated many apps on my Note 10+ phone. Recently I started noticing a new small icon on top of the screen every so often. When I tapped on the icon, the following message appears "Transferring file. Please wait...". Anybody know what this is about? See screenshot attached.

Do you have a smart watch connected via Bluetooth, it may be updating apps to that.

yes have , but all apps uptodate

I believe after an update it checks to see if the watch needs to be updated.

Yes, I have the Samsung Galaxy 42mm smartphone connected via Bluetooth. I find this annoying. Didn't used to do this before even though I've had my Samsung watch for quite some time now.

Yeah, I know I've had my watch for a few years now and just noticed it after last major update.

I recently noticed this myself. I have galaxy S23 and galaxy watch 46mm never noticed it anything until this morning. Weird

I haven't seen this on my s24U, since owning my Watch 6 Classic.

I saw it often, however, on my s22U when I owned a Watch 3.

I really never found a definitive pattern to the behavior.
